Is my PDF uploaded to a server?+

Yes. Upload a PNG (with transparency if you want only the logo, not its background) and the tool composites it onto every page at the position and opacity you select. The image is rasterized at the page resolution and embedded once in the PDF, then referenced from each page, so the file-size impact is small even on long documents.
How do I prevent users from removing the watermark?+
No PDF watermark is truly tamper-proof: anyone with a PDF editor can remove or cover a watermark. The watermark exists as a deterrent and as proof that the version they have came from you. For a stronger anti-removal guarantee, the watermark can be embedded into the page content stream rather than as an annotation layer; the tool offers a content-stream embed mode that is much harder to remove without specialized PDF-editing tools.
Will the watermark appear on every page or can I limit it to specific pages?+
Both modes are supported. The default applies the watermark to all pages of the document. The selective mode lets you specify a page range or list (1-5, 7, 12) where the watermark is applied; other pages are left untouched. The watermark settings (text or image, position, opacity) are the same across the chosen pages.
