- → Measure actual garments, not patterns. Size charts should reflect the finished garment measurements customers will receive, not the pattern dimensions or body measurements.
- → Include both unit systems. If you sell internationally, showing both inches and centimeters eliminates conversion confusion and reduces sizing-related support tickets.
- → Add a measuring guide. Tell customers exactly where to measure — around the fullest part of the chest, natural waistline, and so on. A brief how-to-measure note prevents incorrect self-measurements.
- → Note the fit type. Specify whether your product is slim fit, regular fit, or relaxed. The same chest measurement means very different things across fit types.
