What is the Workspace?+
The Workspace is a personal dashboard for design tokens. It holds the system you send from the Design System Builder plus any colours and custom tokens you add here, and exports them as one file. Other tools on the site do not send to it or read from it yet.
Where is my data stored?+
All workspace data is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. Nothing is sent to any server. Your tokens persist between visits on the same browser and device, but clearing browser data will remove them.
Can I export my entire workspace?+
Yes. The workspace exports your complete token set as CSS custom properties, a Tailwind CSS config, SCSS variables, or JSON tokens in the {value, type} layout Style Dictionary reads. One click gives you a production-ready file.
How do I save tokens to My Workspace?+
Open the Design System Builder and click Send to Workspace: its colours, fonts and type scale, spacing, shadows and radius land here, replacing those sections. Add extra colours or custom tokens with the buttons on this page. Everything is stored in your browser's local storage.
What export formats are supported?+
CSS custom properties, Tailwind CSS config, SCSS variables, and JSON. The export includes all saved tokens organized by category.
Is my data saved between sessions?+
Yes, tokens are stored in your browser's local storage and persist between visits. Clearing your browser data will reset the workspace.
Can I share my workspace with teammates?+
Click Download backup and share the file. Your teammate opens My Workspace, clicks Restore backup and gets the same tokens. For the project itself, share the CSS, Tailwind, SCSS or JSON export instead.
Will my workspace survive a browser update or extension reset?+
Workspace data lives in your browser's localStorage, which persists through normal browser updates and across sessions. It does not survive clearing site data, switching to private/incognito mode, or moving to a different browser or device. Use Download backup before clearing browser data and after significant changes; Restore backup brings it all back.

The workspace lives entirely in your own browser. Every tool you save, every preset you store, every recent item we surface is kept in your local browser storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is synced across devices, and nothing is shared back to the site. That is the right tradeoff for a free utility hub: zero accounts to manage, zero data collection, zero privacy exposure. The cost is that switching browsers or clearing site data wipes the workspace. Export the list to a bookmark folder if you want a portable copy.
