CPS Test

How to use it

  1. Choose a length: 1, 5, 10, 30 or 60 seconds. Short tests measure a burst; longer ones show how well you keep it up.
  2. Click the box as fast as you can (or tap it on a phone). The clock starts with your first click and the box counts every press.
  3. When time is up, read your clicks per second, your best single second, the average and fastest gap between clicks, and a bar for each second. Click again for a new try.

How it counts

A click counts the moment the button goes down, using the browser’s pointer events, which report mouse, touch and pen presses through one event. That matters on phones: a tap also produces a compatibility mouse event afterwards, and a test that listened to both could count each tap twice. Only the main mouse button counts unless you tick right clicks. Your result is the clicks made inside the time window divided by its length, so a 5-second test with 50 clicks is 10.00 CPS; presses after the window closes are not counted, and the box ignores presses for a moment after a test so your last click does not start a new one by accident.

The gaps between clicks show your rhythm. A steady clicker has a small spread (the ± figure is the standard deviation); a burst that fades shows up as falling bars in the chart. The best single second is the most clicks in any one of the whole seconds since your first click.

What we tested

On October 15, 2026: the page’s scoring on 2,000 random click sequences matched a separate Python calculation of every number it shows. In Chromium we clicked a 5-second test about every 100 ms and kept clicking past the end: 56 clicks were sent, 50 fell inside the window and were counted, for 10.0 CPS. The click straight after the test did not start a new one, right clicks were ignored, and 12 touch taps on a phone-sized screen counted 12.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a CPS test?+
A click speed test: you click as fast as you can for a set time and get your clicks per second (CPS), the number of clicks divided by the seconds.
How is CPS calculated?+
Clicks made inside the time window divided by the length of the window. 50 clicks in a 5-second test is 10.00 CPS. The clock starts with your first click.
Does it work on a phone?+
Yes. Taps count once each, through the same pointer events as mouse clicks.
Do right clicks count?+
Not by default. Tick Count right clicks too if you want both buttons to count.
Is my score saved?+
Your best score for each length is kept in this browser only. Nothing is uploaded.
