Does 'Copy as cURL' from Chrome DevTools work with this converter?

Yes. Chrome, Firefox, and Safari all produce output the converter handles. On macOS/Linux, pick the bash version. On Windows, pick either cmd or bash — the tokenizer handles both line-continuation styles (backslash for bash, caret for cmd) and both quoting conventions. The parser was built with DevTools output as the primary use case, so the common patterns — 20+ header flags, quoted JSON bodies, nested escape characters — all paste cleanly.

Are my auth tokens and headers sent anywhere?

No. Everything runs client-side in your browser. The tokenizer, parser, and all seven language generators are plain JavaScript that executes on the page. Your cURL command, bearer tokens, basic auth credentials, cookies, and request bodies never leave your device. You can confirm this by opening DevTools Network tab while converting — zero requests go out. The tool works identically offline once the page has loaded.

Which language output should I pick?

Pick the one that matches the codebase you're going to run the request in. If you're building a web frontend, JavaScript fetch. If it's a backend script or data pipeline, Python requests. If it's a legacy server you can't easily add dependencies to, PHP cURL (works on any PHP install). If it's a Go service, net/http. For .NET, C# HttpClient. For Windows automation or Azure, PowerShell. The parser produces the same request from the same cURL command regardless — it's just a question of which syntax you want to paste into your editor.

Does it handle multipart file uploads (-F)?

Partially. The tokenizer recognizes `-F` / `--form` and skips its value so the command parses successfully, but the generated code doesn't include working multipart logic. That's a deliberate choice — multipart uploads require file handles, boundary strings, and per-part Content-Type declarations that differ significantly per language, and generating broken-looking stubs is worse than not generating them. For uploads, write the multipart code by hand using your language's file-upload helper: `FormData` in JS, `files=` parameter in Python requests, `multipart.NewWriter` in Go.

What's the difference between -d, --data, --data-raw, --data-binary?

In cURL they're different — `--data-binary` preserves newlines, `--data-raw` doesn't treat `@` as a file reference, `-d` is shorthand for `--data`. In the converter's output they're currently treated identically, producing the same body string in the generated code. For most requests this is correct. The edge cases where it matters: binary payloads with literal newlines (use `--data-binary` semantics and verify the string is exactly right), or commands that use `@` to reference a file (the converter will include the literal `@filename` text; you need to replace that with a real file read).

Why is the generated Go code using _ to discard errors?

Because the goal of the generated code is to produce something that compiles and runs as a minimal example, not production-ready Go. Replacing each `_` with a real error variable and adding `if err != nil { ... }` blocks is a mechanical change that makes the code longer without changing the request semantics. Do it before you ship. The same principle applies to `defer resp.Body.Close()` being the only cleanup — for a long-running service you'd want context cancellation, request pooling, and proper `HttpClient`-equivalent reuse, which are all orthogonal to the cURL translation itself.
